OUR STORY

A legacy of O.S.E.R. L’Afrique

Since 2009, the year of its creation, our parent association O.S.E.R. L’Afrique has focused its efforts on strengthening the capacities of young African entrepreneurs. In 2013, as part of this mission, it launched a series of mobile training workshops on entrepreneurship in Central and West Africa, supporting more than 600 young entrepreneurs. It is as a continuation of this program that, about ten years later, O’Botama was born.

The name O’Botama is made up of the letter “O,” which reflects its connection to O.S.E.R. L’Afrique, and the word “Botama,” which means “birth” in Lingala. O’Botama is therefore the place that gives birth to entrepreneurs who dare to build today’s Africa while preparing for tomorrow’s.
